This
Week's Deal:
Set
of 3 Brown Pigskin Suede Hides
FOR
$45 FLAT
USA
Shipping Included!

This little piggy went to
market. This little piggy did not make it home. Rough neighborhood,
but that means good leather.
Pigskin suede hides in a
mdeium brown color, about 6 sq ft per hide, 4 oz in thickness (1/16" or
1.6mm), and our Deal of the Week gives you three of these hides
for a flat $45, USA shipping
included. This is nice leather, sturdy, but still flexible.

Previous Deals of the Week Shown Below are Good until Sold Out!

Very fine calf leather,
chromium tanned, that was cut into strips 5mm wide and woven into 'vamps'
which end up being fancy dress shoes.
Available in the colors
shown, each vamp measures about 7.5" wide by 12" long, on average.
Specify the colors/quantities you'd like, or we'll send 3, 3, and 4 to
you. That's big time math, but we know you'll figure it out.
Please note that some (not
all) of these have a slit down the middle where your foot would have slid
into the shoe
(if you look at the top
photo, check out the vamp on the left - the tan one - you can see
the interruption of the weave pattern on the tan panel pretty well).
Great for wrapping around
handles, making inlays on book covers, wallets, shoe plugs, etc.
This DOTW gives you a set of 20 of these woven panels for $20 flat dead
even.
USA shipping is included
- no other fees, charges, taxes, surcharges, back charges, or any other
costs to add in.

These double shoulders were
tanned 'full substance' which means the hides were not skived nor thinned
down - they're tanned in the full thickness - just the way they came off
the animal.
Struck through blacker than
the inside of a moose, hides run about 7 to 8 oz in thickness and average
11 sq ft per hide. These are tannery culls - each hide has one or
more problems.
The pictures above tell
the story - bug bites, holes, and that one on the right looks like the
victim of a werewolf attack, which is all the rage these days.
The surface is very heavily
textured, and we decided to call it 'knobby'. We have better quality
versions of this same leather on our Hides and Sides page, if you need
'em.
Our DOTW price on these
is two hides for $65 flat, and this includes shipping to all 50 states
and the territories.
If you're in AK, HI, or
any of the Territories your hides will be folded to fit in flat rate USPS
boxes.

NEW LOWER PRICING!! Our
full elk hides have been wildly popular - available in FOUR colors, thick
and very, very soft. As we've sold our way through them we've found
some
that are in pretty rough
shape. Holes, scratches, bullet and/or arrow holes, tire marks, etc
make these second quality hides.
These hides run about 22
sq ft on average and are 5 oz in thickness. Choose black, brown,
tan, or off-white (just shoot as an e-mail after you place your order)
This DOTW is for a Crummy
Elk, your choice of color (black, smoke tan, off-white, or brown) for $65
flat, USA shipping included.
Back in the Fall we bought
the remaining inventory of a belt company that closed, and we sure got
a lot of buckles as part of that deal.
These were incredibly expensive
originally, unique styles, solid brass, some steel, some nickel, with lots
of cool doo-dads and decorations on some.
Sized for belts anywhere
from 3/4" up to 3" wide, with most in the 1.25" to 1.5" range. Photos
above give you an idea of what to expect.
DOTW price: 10 random
buckles for $25 flat dead even, USA shipping included.
(scroll down the page if
you need some belts to slap these on).

This deal gives you a group
of 50 tannery sample panels, and they're all nice, thin, top grain leathers.
They all have a product
name and number gold foil embossed into them, as you can see
in the photos. You'll
receive a random mixture of colors - mostly earth tones.
We do not have hides like
any of these samples - these are just samples left over from an old tannery
run.
Samples measure either 2-3/4"
by 4" or 2-3/16" by 6-5/8".
$15 gets you 50 of these
swatches, USA shipping INCLUDED. No returns on this item -
it's a random mix!

These double bends (aka
double butts - what you've got here is the back half of the cow) are struck
through (dye penetrates all the way through the leather) and are a full
1/8" thick (8 oz leather, or 3.2mm).
Softened a bit; this is
not a firm leather and would be comfortable to wear, although heavy.
Hides run about 22 sq ft of surface area on average, roughly four and a
little by 5 feet.
We're selling the first
quality hides of this leather over on the Sides and Hides page for $100
each.
We have some, like the one
shown above, that had test rectangles cut from them - selling these lab
test hides here on the Deal of the Week at a lower price: $80 each,
48-state shipping included.
The test hide you
receive will be Second Quality and will have rectangles cut from it, or
scratches, or a hole or two; no returns on this deal.

This Deal of the Week is
a set of three leather panels from one of the USA's best tanners.
These panels run between
1 and 2 sq ft of surface area, drum dyed black and embossed with a haircell
(very fine grain) texture. Regular temper - not too soft, not too
stiff.
Thickness is 2.75-3 oz,
or less than 1/16 of an inch. Good leather for making wallets, cases,
or accessories.
$20 flat gives you three
of these panels, 50-state shipping included, and this same price applies
to our customers in AK, HI, PR, GU, etc.
Sure, we get it - it was
supposed to be a fashion statement, sort of your tribute to the working
men and women in our great country,
but when you showed up at
the Spring formal with your sleeveless Letterman's jacket we think you
should know that everyone was grossed out by your hairy shoulders.
Hey, didn't we see you in
Planet of the Apes? Look, man, here's your chance to fix this once
and for all - the Purchasing Department (that kills me!) at BV
landed a mother lode of
these excellent quality garment cowhide, chrome tanned leather sleeves,
ready for installation on your jacket, or make something clever from them,
like a tall, white hat or
a shoulder bag or get a big pile of them and make a car cover or maybe
a set of chaps for a young or shorter person or whatever. We've got
14 gazillion of them.
Each sleeve measures about
24" long and about 23" wide at the widest point. Other colors available
over on the 'Sides and Hides' page.
Deal of the Week priced
at $20 per pair of sleeves, 48-state USA shipping included.

Dark brown garment grade
cowhide sides used to be nice. They were proud. They held their
heads high. OK, that's a lie. The heads are
gone so they held their
hide portions that were closest to the head high. You get the idea.
Things went downhill though, when these sides were forgotten
on a warehouse shelf.
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. The
roof leaked. Moisture got into the hides, and mildew formed.
So, what can we do to help
these once proud hides find a new home? Dump them into 'the system'
and hope one of you takes pity on them.
3 oz dark brown chrome tanned
cowhide sides, very soft, around 20 sq ft each, with mold and mildew that
wipes away with a damp cloth. We recommend about half an hour in
the drier on high heat
too just to improve their
aroma. Works pretty well. So, if you need leather on the cheap,
this is cheap leather.
Moldy Sides, $50
each oh heck let's make it $45 instead, USA shipping included.

The Brettuns Village Deal
of the Week updates every Wednesday morning at somewhere around 6 or 7
or 8 am, EST.
Deals remain posted for
one week, or until our inventory is sold out.
First come (paid), first
served. If you'd like to take advantage of the Deal of the Week
but would like to pay by
check or money order just send us an e-mail
(leather@brettunsvillage.com) and we'll set aside your Deal until your
payment arrives.
Some of our customers put
an event on their PC's calendar to remind them to check out our DOTW each
Wednesday morning.
Some of our customers think
this is a ridiculous waste of time, but we think they sneak in here and
take a peek anyway.
Whatever you do, wherever
you go, don't ever forget that shipping within the 48 contiguous
United States is always
included in our prices - there just flat aren't any other fees, charges,
or expenses to add.
If you're in AK or HI we
can fit most of this stuff into flat rate boxes, so you get free shipping
too - just so
long as you don't mind us
folding your leather.
We post our DOTW on FB when
we remember to plaster it up there.
Go to our Facebook page
and hit that little button that says 'Like' and then you'll receive our
updates. Thrilling.
Rivet-Palooza:
This deal gives you 10 packs of our tubular and semi-tubular rivets for
$60 off our regular price.
Includes packs of RVT109,
RVT110, RVT111, RVT116, RVT118, RVT119, RVT120, RVT122, RVT126 and RVT-102
(black). You can get the details on each rivet style here
Our Deal of the Week gives
you all 10 packs for $25 flat dead even,
50-state shipping included!
Chrome tanned leather laces
were being used on expensive leather boat shoes; these are 9/64" square,
24" long each.
Rather firm and sturdy -
great for hanging slate tiles or other heavy objects with a simple loop.
This DOTW gives you 2 bundles
of 100 24" laces for $16 flat, 50-state USA shipping included,
and that includes our customers
in PR, and GU. Glad to have you aboard.

The Brettuns Village Giant
Arch Punch Set includes what you see in the pictures:
A total of 22 punches, from
3/16" to 1-1/2" in increments of 1/16 of an inch. We're also throwing
in one of our 8x10 cutting pads and
our heaviest weighted rawhide
mallet to help you whack your way to circular mayhem. If you use
our regular prices for all of these items
you come up with a Grand
Whopping Total of $568, but our Giant Arch Punch Set special pricing gives
you the works for $450 flat dead even, USA shipping included.
Yes, this includes AK, HI,
PR, and GU.

This Deal gives you one
of our light tan (the color name from the tannery, in Italy, is 'Cammello')
vegetable tanned calf hides, specifically tanned for use as an upholstery
leather,
for $100 flat, 48-state
shipping included. Hides run 4 to 4.5 oz in thickness (1/16") and
average abaout 26 sq ft per hide. These are SECONDS so each hide
will
have a hole, discoloration
somewhere, or maybe a stain or two. Still, it's great leather in
a nice, natural looking color.

This is genuine rawhide
- just plain old cowhide that's been pickled and dried. It's rather
stiff, but you can soak it in water,
wrap it around something,
and it'll take on that shape when it dries. Each bundle contains
strips that are a little over 1/8" wide (actual measurement is 5/32")
with strips ranging from
30 to 70 inches. Each bundle contaians one full side of leather,
all cut into strips, which makes it a lot easier to
carry your cows around town
with you. Our DOTW price for a bundle is $40 flat, USA shipping included
(yes, that means you too in PR, GU, etc).

You know we're right:
Christmas will be here right in our laps before you know it, even though
there's still wrapping paper in the living room.
This Deal of the Week is
for 100 jingle bells (3 packs of BEL001, 4 packs of BEL002, 3 packs of
BEL003) for a flat $10, USA shipping included.
These are all 1/2" bells.

These are stiff/very firm
hides that were vegetable tanned and rolled flat for use as book covers.
They don't crease very well, they don't look too great,
they don't smell new and
fresh, they don't have perfect surfaces nor perfect coloration, and they
don't have large clean areas on them. Other
than that they're mint (rimshot).
Very firm, very thin (2-2.5 oz or about 1mm), all earth tones, mostly tannish
or dark red-brown,
sold in random lots of five
hides for $50 flat dead even, 48-state shipping included, on this Deal
of the Week.
The photo on the right gives
you a general idea of the size of these hides - they're bends, running
about 2-2.5 ft wide and 3 to 4 ft long.
We'll pick out the colors
- it's a random selection.

These are small full
calf hides that run about 10 sq ft of surface area each, in a thickness
that varies from 2 to 6 oz across each hide.
Good tooling, stamping,
carving, or wet forming. The hide you receive will almost certainly
contain a hole in one part of the hide or another -
that's the way they are.
Most of these hides were folded in half and stored on a shelf - so there's
a fold line right up the backbone.
We're storing them flat
and will roll them for shipping, which should help some, but you may want
to use some water to get the crease ironed out, literally.
Veg Tan Tooling Calf Hides
are DOTW priced at $50 each, 48-state shipping included.
Full bison hides - choose
black or tobacco brown - as shown above - for $100 flat on this DOTW.
Each hide is about 30 to
35 sq ft of total surface area, 3.5 oz in thickness (1/16"), which is
good for upholstery or garment
use. This is a very soft leather, and it's rustic looking, with a
nice, all-American appeal.
These hides are all SECONDS
so expect to see a hole or two, scratches, blotchy areas - maybe these
bison were teenagers.
You say Tatonka, but in
Maine we say Tatonker, either way it's nice leather. I mean leathah.

This Deal of the Week gives
you 5 gross (5 x 144 = 720) of these woven, striped shoe laces for $20
flat, USA shipping included. Just right for hanging up
Christmas ornaments, hanging
mistletoe, or lacing up your brand new hiking boots that you bought for
yourself when you were supposed to be
out Christmas shopping for
everyone else. Dark navy stripes look black; laces are either 36"
or 42" long - you can specify or we'll just grab whatever's at the top
of the pile.
These are actually very
well made, heavy duty laces, with a stripey look that just flat out screams
"Get us out of the BV warehouse."
