Lighter weight hides are either calf, sheep, or goat hides. Current colors are shown below - if you don't see it, we don't have it in stock.
Our light weight leathers are priced according to the size of each type of hide, with free shipping for all of our USA customers (yes, even our sheep hides ship free to you lucky ducks in AK and HI).
Customers outside of the USA are asked to pay actual shipping costs through our postal service.

Black Haircell Print Sheep Hides
Chrome tanned full sheep hides average about 6-7 sq ft of surface area and are struck through (dye penetrates all the way through the leather).
Thickness is 2.5 oz, which is thin enough to run through most home sewing machines without causing parts to fly off the machine and embed
themselves in your walls, furniture, inlaws, or small pets. You'll have to find some other way of causing such mayhem, because these nice hides
are easy to work with. Surface has what's called a 'haircell print' which is just a very slight amount of texture. Soft hides, good for garments
or linings. One black haircell sheep will set you back $25, or get 3 for $50. These prices, like always on this website, include shipping
within the 48 contiguous United States.

Tan Glove Leather Sheep Hides
Chrome tanned full sheep hides average about 6-7 sq ft of surface area and are struck through (dye penetrates all the way through the leather).
These were tanned specifically for making gloves, but are thin and soft enough for many different uses.
Thickness is 2.5 oz. Surface has been imprinted with the geometric pattern you see in the photos - apparently to give you some
grip when you try to pick up a dime while washing dishes (if you're not at least 50 years old you won't know what we're talking about here - tough luck)

VERY THIN DEER SKIVERS
Thin White Tail Deer Hides

These are skivers that were cut from chrome tanned white tail deer hides
This is USA deer leather.
Chrome tanned, dyed white (dye penetrates all the way through the leather),
but they look a little off-white to very light grayish in color.
The leather thickness ranges from 1 to 3 oz (1/64" to a little under 1/16 of an inch).
Very, very soft. How soft? Like an old t-shirt that you can't throw away because
it still has that stain on it from that Kansas concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium. It's special.
