Our light weight leathers are priced according to the size of each type of hide, with free shipping for all of our USA customers (yes, even our sheep hides ship free to you lucky ducks in AK and HI).
Customers outside of the USA are asked to pay actual shipping costs through our postal service.

Putty Full Finish Calf Hides

These calf hides are about the same color as your filing cabinet, desk, and the bookshelf they gave you when you took your new job
and were sure it was the perfect career. The furniture smelled new in your cubicle, and you were optimistic for the first time in years.
By lunch that first day you knew you'd made a horrific error, but the car payment and apartment rent
forced you to keep dragging your carcass back to that miserable office for years.
Ready to relive that pain? Here you go. Calf hides the same color as all that office furniture.
These are full finish hides, very smooth and slightly glossy, firm temper.
Size is about 8 to 10 sq ft per hide, thickness is 2/2.5 oz (1/32 of an inch)

Third Quality White Deer Hides

These are full white tail deer hides, from right here in the USA.
Chrome tanned, dyed white (dye penetrates all the way through the leather), top grain (not splits).
These measure about 7 square feet in surface area per hide and are soft.
We're calling these third quality because, well, they just flat out aren't nice enough to be called second quality.
Yes, they're useful for crafts, but the hides have holes, bad spots, rough areas, defects, abrasions, cuts, bruises, and bad attitudes.
Expect to find bullet holes, arrow holes, scratches, cuts, and even tire tread marks, we kid you not.
The leather is 3 oz (a little under 1/16 of an inch)., Very, very soft.
Yes, these are rough but each hide has a lot of useful leather.

Thin White Tail Deer Hides

These are skivers that were cut from chrome tanned white tail deer hides
This is USA deer leather.
Chrome tanned, dyed white (dye penetrates all the way through the leather),
but they look a little off-white to very light grayish in color.
The leather thickness ranges from 1 to 3 oz (1/64" to a little under 1/16 of an inch).
Very, very soft. How soft? Like an old t-shirt that you can't throw away because
it still has that stain on it from that Kansas concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium. It's special.

Oil Tanned Sheep Hides
2nd Quality Bumpy Merino Sheep

What you've got here are oil-tanned sheep hides in a natural light tan color.
These look like smoke tanned deer, a nice yellowish tan color with a rustic feel.
Oil tanned leather is waterproof to some extent, soft, and each hide is about 5 square feet in surface area.
Great for all types of Native American crafts. These have not been corrected or improved by the tannery at all -
each hide is the way it came off the animal. Bug bites, scratches, some staining here and there, etc.
Natural bumpy surface (this is Merino sheep), which is a little wrinkly bumpy convoluted looking.
Thickness ranges from 3 to 7 ounces per square foot (3/64 to 7/64 of an inch)
