tubular rivets with a tube diameter of 1/8" and head diameter = 3/8".
Available in the lengths
shown. These work best when the tube is about 1/8" longer than the
entire thicknes you're going through.

Nickel-Plated Steel Semi-Tubular
9/16" Rivets These are old stock nickel-plated
steel tubular rivets with a shaft length of 9/16", tube diameter = 1/8",
and head diameter = 5/16".
The head is slightly domed.
The shaft is hollow only about 1/4" in,
so these are useful for
joining together stuff that ends up with a total thickness of 7/16".

Zinc-Plated Steel Tubular
Rivets Zinc-plated steel post or
tubular rivets have a head diameter of 3/8" with a slight dome on top,
and the shaft of the rivet is 1/4" long by 3/16" in diameter.
Use these for joining layers
that are about 1/8" thick (for example, two pieces of 4 oz leather).
A half-pound bag contains
about 200 of these. Ten bucks will do it. USA shipping included.
Note: These are heavy
duty rivets typically used in metal working - don't try to set these with
our RS-0302 splash tool or bad things may happen

Head diameter is 5/16",
tube length is 5/16", tube diameter is 9/64". We sell these in 1/2-pound
bags - about 380 rivets - for $15.00,
which includes postage costs
if you're in the contiguous 48 states. Color is called 'dark gunmetal,
which is almost black.
Setting these is easy -
push through the leather, put RS-0302 (picture below) in the end of the
rivet, and give it a tap with your synthetic or rawhide mallet.

The burr is that washer
thing that goes on the back (post) of the rivet. Set these with a

you tap with a mallet to
