There's a crack in the bottom
of the tray too, but it doesn't wriggle around and seems to be OK.
This is a nice standard
box trunk that was originally covered in canvas, made, we believe, in the
1880s-1890s.
The canvas has been removed
and the wood has been sanded and finished with a few coats of tung oil.
Has our replacement leather
handles on each end for lifting.
Has the very nice original
lock on the front with one key.
