A nice standard box trunk
that would have been used by Joe Average Traveler. It was probably
made right around 1880.
The wood boards were all
sanded and finished with our durable tung oil mixture (which you can read
about in the 'How to Refinish..' section of our website).
Has our own Made-in-Maine
cowhide harness leather handles for lifting.
Has the original lock but
there is no key for locking. The catch on the back of the lock is
missing, so this lock cannot be made to work (this just saves you from
losing the key and locking your baseball cards inside forever)
Measures 33 inches wide
by 20 inches front to back, and stands 22 inches tall. The lid is
tilted toward front and rear, which was a very popular style.
