Our standard cowhide leather scrap is all chromium-tanned leather that's left over from manufacturing shoes, belts, and handbags.
Pieces range from small strings to odd shapes about the size of your hand; a few that are a bit bigger.  Good for small projects, straps,
key fobs, that sort of thing - or put some of it in an onion bag and stick it under your car seat to get that new car smell back again.
Mix of colors, thicknesses, and shapes  - random selection.  Sold in 10 pound boxes for $35 flat, and this includes shipping to
any location in the 48 contiguous United States.  5 pounds is $25.00, or get 50 pounds for $125.00.

Lighter Weight Cowhide Scrap, Looks Like Deer Hide
Available in Earth Tones, Reds, Black, or White

These are good-sized pieces of cowhide side leathers, running about 3.5 to 4.5 oz in thickness.  Soft leather has a nice feel, similar to deer hide and tanned to look like deer hide.
This is useful leather for Native American craft projects, anything outdoorsy-looking, and for uses where you don't want the leather to look bright and shiny.  This is unfinished leather,
which means it has been chrome-tanned and dyed, but that's it.  No finishing oils, no waterproofing treatments, so it's ready for you to do whatever you want with it.  The pieces are large for scrap leather.
All pieces will be larger than your hand, and most run about one square foot (by this we mean 144 total square inches of surface area or bigger - not a 12x12 square,
but odd shapes that have a total surface area greater than 144 total square inches).  You can purchase black,  white, our red mix, which contains a mixtures of red shades, or our earth tone mix, which contains various shades of brown and tan.
Sold in 5-pound or 10-pound boxes; all prices shown below include shipping to any location in the 48 contiguous United States.  The picture with the yardstick in it shows 5 pounds of this leather spread out on the table.
You get a lot of square footage with this stuff.  Feel free to ask us to mix/match - we're glad to put together any combination of colors you'd like.

Chromium-Tanned Suede for Your Dance Shoes!

Chromium tanned suede split cowhide panels, soft and colorfast.
These are partial hides that we call panels; they average about 1.5 square feet of surface area.
Each piece is more than enough to do the bottoms of a pair of large men's dance shoes.
If you just do the toe area then you'll be able to re-sole your dancing shoes more than once.
Panels are $12 each or 10 panels for $85
If you'd like an assortment of colors in your set of ten just shoot us an e-mail.

This is an all-inclusive price - the leather, shipping to any USA address, handling, processing, etc - it's all rolled into the prices.

VERY THIN DEER SKIVERS
Thin White Tail Deer Hides

These are skivers that were cut from chrome tanned white tail deer hides
This is USA deer leather.
Chrome tanned, dyed white (dye penetrates all the way through the leather),
but they look a little off-white to very light grayish in color.
The leather thickness ranges from 1 to 3 oz (1/64" to a little under 1/16 of an inch).
Very, very soft.  How soft?  Like an old t-shirt that you can't throw away because
it still has that stain on it from that Kansas concert at the Hollywood Sportatorium.  It's special.
We're selling this leather by the pound - see the bottom right photo?
It shows one pound of pieces on our layout table (one-foot squares)

Hair-On Cowhide Scraps

Left over trimmings, faces, and miscellaneous pieces of cowhide that was tanned with the hair still in place.  Pieces are irregular,
all different shapes, many different colors (but all are natural cow colors - none of this stuff has been dyed).  Largest pieces are maybe a square foot.
The faces have eyelashes on them, which creeps out some of us.
10 pounds for $50, contiguous USA shipping included.

Pigskin Suede Leather Scraps

Pig skin suede pieces are from a very good quality running/athletic shoe maker.
Light blue-gray color, with the characteristic surface grain of pigskin.
This us cutting room scrap, smallish pieces from a couple of square inches up to about the size of your hand.
Assuming your hand is the same size, more or less, as Charlie's.
Soft, under 1/16" thick (2.5 to 3.5 oz) and can be sewn on most home sewing machines.
10 pounds for $35, contiguous USA shipping included

Sheep Shearling Scraps

This is excellent quality sheep shearling, with a nicely finished leather side, and the hair side cropped to 1/2".
It's fluffy, it's hairy. and it's very soft.  Good for trimming small items.  Lots of pieces per pound, but none of them are much
bigger than your hand.  Sold in 5 pound boxes, which is about all we can stuff into a 1 cubic foot box.
5 pounds for $25, USA shipping included - and that means all 50 states and US Territories too for this scrap.

6" by 8" Tannery Sample Swatches

Small tannery sample panels measure about 6 by 8 inches and come in a random assortment of colors and textures.
Most have two holes punched at the top so that they can be clipped together,  Some have tannery labels stuck to them;
others have tannery product names embossed on them, but all are nice leather.
Most are mid-weight leathers in the 3 to 6 oz thickness range, and most are regular temper (flexible but not too soft).
We sell groups of 40 of these for $50 flat, USA shipping included (even AK and HI)

Boot Maker's Scrap - All Black

Left over chrome-tanned cowhide leather, all black, struck through (dye penetrates all the way through the leather), left over from making
incredibly expensive specialty boots.  There are two basic leathers mixed together in this scrap - both are black.  One is about 4 oz (1/16" thick)
and the other is 7 oz (about 1/10").  The lighter stuff has a grain pattern on the surface; the heavier stuff is fairly smooth.
The pieces range from the size of your hand to maybe 2 or 3 hands, with stringy bits and odd shapes.  Good for small crafts.  Very nice leather.
We sell 10 pound boxes of this scrap for $50 flat, 48-state USA shipping included, or get 5 pounds for $35, or 50 pounds for $200.
