Painted Rounded Top Trunk
Painted round top trunk
from the 1890s with most of its original parts.
Outside has been painted
gold and black, as you can see, but we think it still looks pretty good.
Needs two new slats on the
back, handles, handle brackets or end caps.
Lock must have been removed
by someone over the years - it's back in place but was put in with screws.
No keys.
Most of the paper has been
removed form the inside - ready to be sanded down.
Measures 33 by 20 inches
and the top is 23" high.

tool boxes and there are some tools left inside.
The larger one has a small
tray inside for smaller tools, but the lock is missing from this box.

smaller box.

Smaller box measures 17
by 11 and is 10 inches tall. Sold as a set only.

Carpenter's Tool Box

Old carpenter's tool box,
two lift-out storage trays, and some old tools that were in it when we
found it.
A saw blade, hand drill
(brace and bit) with bits, wood rasp,
smaller hand tools, plumb
string, etc. The top of this box has a lot of paint splattered, spilled,
and dripped on it. Seems to scrape off without too much effort.
Measures 29 by 15 inches
by 11 inches tall. Good heavy duty chest handles at each end.
Has a lock in the front,
but there is no key to go with it.

What is this thing?
Someone made a nice wooden
box, covered it with fake leather, nailed in a zillion upholstery tacks,
and then lined the thing with red velvet-like fabric.
Looks like a nice coffin
for your old dog or cat. Sorry about that. Well, it has handles
here and there so the whole family can lug it from the hearse to the grave.
It'd also make a good foot
rest, and just imagine how impressed your friends will be when you open
it up at half time to show them old Fluffy.

trunk; weighs almost 80 pounds. Missing three of the drawers, no
hangers, and the lock was removed.
